Is a villa covid-safer than a hotel?

We are being asked some interesting questions about covid/coronavirus and our properties, and how safe we can make it for our guests.

Clean and Safe

Our excellent cleaning team will give your property an extra disinfect in all the high traffic touch areas, such as light switches, door handles, key boxes, remote controls etc.

On your arrival we will not come to meet you at the moment, instead we will leave your keys inside a little safe key box on the exterior of your property. We will send you the code to unlock this before your departure date. We give you the telephone number of our local member of staff and they are on hand should you need anything during your stay. If you need anyone to visit during your stay we will sanitise, keep a safe distance and wear a face covering.

Benefits of private accommodation

The beauty of staying in a private villa or apartment, is that you and your family can be as sociable as you want, and can stick to your own rules. If you want to eat in for the holiday you are able to arrange shopping deliveries whether in the UK or overseas. All of our properties have fully fitted kitchens and cooking equipment. We can even arrange your own private chef to come and cook for you in your accommodation! We can recommend restaurants and make bookings for you, and arrange clean and safe transfers for you with our drivers wearing their face coverings.

Being in a hotel of course, you have hundreds of different people each with their own preferred set of rules and limits. You can control everything to your own preference (as much as possible!) if you are in private accommodation with your friends or family group.
As at today, the 6th May 2021, the current outdoor rule of six (or two households of any size) will apply indoors, with overnight stays allowed, from 17th of May 2021.

Villas are a great way to go away together. If you are looking to go away in a larger group than this, it isn’t yet allowed. We have a perfect solution for you to be able to ‘holiday together’ whilst staying apart and following the rules.

Villa Elenor Grande is in Portugal, in Vale Da Parra. It is made up of 3 adjoining identical villas which each sleep 6 people. There are 2 pools, and 2 brick built barbecues, and 3 outdoor dining areas.

The rule of 6 can be applied and the villas share one large magnificent plot together, and distancing can be easily followed. We have neighbouring houses too, Villas Helene and Villa Helena each sleeping 10 people are next door to each other.

We also have apartments close to each other and some in the same buildings so that you can go away with friends and family but stay indoors apart.

Your moments of relaxation are perfectly protected, your family can enjoy an Ocholo property feeling secure and safe.
