Villa Santina has a beautiful 19th-century English-style river garden and its unique appearance blends in well with the villa. Outside, the swimming pool is surrounded by greenery that provides shade, a loggia equipped for eating meals outdoors and a barbecue area. Guests can also use the whirlpool bath (for 4 people) which is located inside an annexe to the house which has a wood heater and therefore can be used all year round.
Villa Santina is a beautiful country residence, and its origins date far back to the tenth century by virtue of the very special, possibly unique, function for which it was created and maintained over time: eel fishing. The current owners have recently renovated the building whilst fully respecting its original character, converting it into a very charming yet unusual residence, as befits its very particular location. The house consists of a central body and two annexes.
The property is around 1 km from the small town of Marta that overlooks the banks of Lake Bolsena, the waters of which are considered to be one of the clearest and purest places to bathe in the summer months. After bathing, guests can soak up the sun on one of the neighbouring beaches. Marta has all kinds of stores and there is also a small supermarket just 300 meters from the house.
