Apartment One has been inspired by calm, is very balanced and natural and relaxing. It has an original 1800’s ceiling rose in the bedroom, and fireplace. The huge bay window floods the bedroom with light, and the living room is bright and airy, with huge window overlooking the river, which you can see from the comfortable corner sofa while you relax. The new luxurious bathroom has a real feel of calm, with walk-in shower, natural stone tiles, sink and toilet, and back-lit mirror.
Apartment Two has a rich, earthy atmosphere, deeper tones and ambient lighting, there is a warmth and ancient character here, giving real charm and luxury. Enter into the hallway of the apartment and there is space for shoes & coats. To your left, the cosy living room has a large comfortable corner sofa and stunning views of the river from the large window. The beautiful kitchen, set with porcelain worktops and copper and a deeper coal colour, has all the modern comforts you will need. The bedroom to the right has amazing river views to be enjoyed from your pillow. Apartment Two is a cosy, mood-lit escape with darker tones and plush textures — perfect for guests who love a more intimate, atmospheric vibe.
The double height Penthouse Apartment has removed ceilings opening up the rooms, exposing the beautiful original trusses dating back to the 1800’s, there is a spacious warmth and character here, giving real charm and luxury. The double height living room is bright and airy, with comfortable corner sofa and stunning views of the river, and York Minster itself.
If you are looking for something special, there is a little hidden bar area in the corner to make your stay extra-special, which we can have pre-stocked for you should you require, with mixers, and alcohol with our licence. The double height bedroom has a King-size bed, with amazing river views to be enjoyed from your pillow. A freestanding bath in the corner and dressing area compliment the room.
The Bridge House has two huge sash windows, with unrivalled views looking right up the river. Spacious and light living and dining area and separate kitchen. The second floor has a little shower room and toilet, and two bedrooms - a small but cosy double room, and a large bright and twin bedroom, both with original fireplaces. (Optional trundle bed available on request.) The third floor has a large King sized bedroom, flooded with natural light, with original 1800’s fireplace and curtain ring, with classic panelling and LED lights.
There is also the family bathroom, complete with its authentic Regency fireplace which adds a touch of timeless grandeur to the space. With freestanding bath, walk-in shower, there are plenty facilities for a group of family, or friends.
